In the fault location of power cables, there is a type of fault that is very difficult to accurately locate. When the insulation resistance of the fault is between 0.0 and 10.0 ohms, no discharge sound can be heard at the fault point when using impulse discharge, commonly known as dead ground, permanent ground, or ultra-low resistance cable faults. The acoustic magnetic synchronization method cannot be effective. The Saba FLG12/FLG50/FLG200 system is an ideal instrument for solving such faults.
*Permanent grounding: refers to insulation or structural damage that prevents equipment from operating without maintenance.
